Friday after Epiphany – 1 John 5:5-13; Ps 147:12-15,19-20; Luke 5:12-16
I wonder how Jesus would cope with the fame surrounding the healer today. Where would He hide from the cameras, satellite channels, mobile phone, the invasion of broadcast vans, photojournalists expecting the performance miracles.
The answer seems simple and obvious. Known to all who once decided to be alone and seek God. The desert does not mean a lack of people. The desert is a place filled with God’s presence. Even a camera cannot disturb a person praying with faith.
