Thursday, Week 2 – Heb 7:25-8:6; Ps 39:7-10; Mark 3:7-12
And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” (Mark 3:11).
The healings performed by Jesus serve as a profound testament to the power of the kingdom of God. I find it impossible to remain neutral regarding the divine Physician; my stance is a deliberate choice, either in favour of or against Him. While I can appreciate Jesus and His teachings, it is possible to admire Him without true belief, or even to act in opposition to Him.
I refuse to be merely a fervent admirer, a passive observer, or an indifferent bystander. As a being created in the image and likeness of God, I must openly declare my faith and validate it through my actions, acknowledging Jesus as the Son of God who came to earth for our salvation. The mystery of His death and resurrection compels me to deepen my belief and trust in Him, driven by admiration for the Master. His words possess transformative power; He has the ability to heal me of all my ailments and imperfections.
