Feast of Our Lady of Aberdeen – Genesis 3:9-15,20; 1 Samuel 2:1,4-8; Matthew 1:1-16,18-23
From the sin in Paradise, through all of human history, God has planned and mysteriously accomplished through flawed humanity the means of our reconciliation and redemption.
These are all human matters: to greet those we meet, to be paid for labour, to support the sick, to feed the infant, to be close to children . . . . And all of these human matters He wants to be our God.
It is a language to well understand: the language of relationships, the language of attitudes, deeds and words uttered. This language requires transparency and interior truth. We learned to speak this language from when we were small, we hear it year after year, recognise piece by piece.
God present here, cannot now be disregarded. If our journey of life is related to the good of others, it is because He has shown us what and how in the life of Mary. If our love is sincere, it is because it is rooted in her Son, Jesus.
