Dangerous?
Just because you are afraid does not mean that it is actually dangerous

God told him that they would fight him, but they would not defeat him, because He would be with him. Jeremiah. He was to stand ready, and God made him “a fortified city, a pillar of iron, and a wall of bronze to confront all this land: the kings of Judah, its princes, its priests and the country people”. And we?

We do not have Jeremiah’s calling. We probably should not even try to be like him – constantly in opposition, constantly predicting punishments. Anyone who would do this without an actual calling from God would be a false prophet. However, one instruction addressed to him by God seems to apply to us in some way. “

Do not be dismayed at their presence, or in their presence I will make you dismayed.”

These are unremarkable times for believers. Sometimes there may be a temptation not to stick out, not to expose oneself, not to confess one’s faith. Unnecessarily. Fear often has this tendency that when we are guided by such fears, it grows more and more. We do not have to be ashamed of our faith in Christ. It is more rational than today’s ideologies, supposedly appealing to reason. So heads up. . .
