Friday of Week 3 – Heb 10:32-39; Ps 36:3-6,23-24,39-40; Mark 4:26-34
The words of the Letter to the Hebrews may sound strange to us today: “after you were enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings, sometimes being publicly exposed to reproach and affliction, and sometimes being partners with those so treated. For you had compassion on those in prison, and you joyfully accepted the plundering of your property.” These events occurred centuries ago, yet similar stories echo throughout the history of Christianity and continue to this day.
The author of the Letter to the Hebrews encourages readers to persevere in faith, reminding them that the Lord will soon return, bringing with Him better and lasting treasures.
Personally, my faith has not cost me much. I’ve faced a few strange looks, silly smiles, and harsh comments, but I consider myself fortunate to have avoided any significant trials. For this, I feel immense gratitude to God.
Jesus, You teach me to notice and appreciate the small things because, like a tiny seed, my faith can grow with Your help. Please strengthen my faith to withstand whatever challenges I may face. Amen.
