Most Holy Trinity – Ex 34:4 b-6.8-9; Ps Dn: 3:52-55; 2 Corinthians 3:16-18; John 13:11-13
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
The liturgy for the Sunday of the Most Holy Trinity leads us to discover the true image of God. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit involve us in their interior life through the sacrament of baptism. Thanks to this we become children and friends of God as well a community of disciples, who are to proclaim His great work.
Trinity is newness, new life, “the promised land”, new breath, which gives the strength to live and not just vegetate. The triune God of love is not only a mystery but will remain so for all time. From this it is worth pausing and considering it and in the silence of the heart thanking the Father for the gift of the Son, whom He sent into the world in the power of His Spirit. For faith in the Son leads to salvation, rescue, and eternal life. Not the one declared, but the one lived, the point of entry which is the ability to love God and neighbour.
“Glory to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who is, who was, and who is to come.”
