Wednesday of Week 25 – Prov 30:5-9; Ps 118; Luke 9:1-6

Maybe we need, like Saint Francis, to give up our accumulated supplies for the next day. . .

Maybe we need, like that young man, to leave our debit card and our last penny on the table before leaving home. . .

Maybe we need, like that priest, sent by Don Tonino Bello on a mission to Africa, to take only the Host with us on our journey. . .

He gave us power and authority. He gave us everything we needed for the Gospel to be preached and the Kingdom to grow. All we need to do is give up, leave, and take. . . And trust the promise: I am with you, in you, through you. Until everything is fulfilled.
