Saturday Week 3 – Acts 22:3-16; Mark 16:15-18

This tomb turned out to be empty
Proclaim the Gospel—the Good News of salvation and the promise of overcoming death. This message is for everyone, and through belief in Jesus, who died and rose for us, we can attain eternal life in heaven and experience everlasting happiness.
To live forever in joy, belief is essential. Jesus clearly warns that those who do not believe will face condemnation. There are two paths: one leading to life and the other to death. This presents a clear perspective and a necessary choice.
It is unfortunate that many who claim to share the Gospel overlook the importance of this choice, often reducing it to a notion of a gentle, non-demanding love of God—distancing themselves from Jesus’ true teachings.
And what about the signs that are meant to follow believers? There are likely more than we realize; our scepticism may prevent us from recognizing many of them. Jesus assures us that these signs will accompany those who have faith. However, faith among those who identify as believers can be inconsistent.
Proclaim the Gospel, but don’t portray it as merely a message about self-restraint, sacrifice, and heavy obligations. While these aspects may be necessary, the core of the Gospel is the wonderful news that life does not end with death, and there is a glorious existence that awaits us beyond this life.
Thank you, God, for revealing Your Gospel to me as truly Good News. While it can sometimes feel burdensome, I know it is no heavier than a backpack filled with essentials for the journey.
