Tuesday of Week 1 – Heb 2:5-12; Ps 8:2,5-9; Mark 1:21-28

Mark the Evangelist asks me the question: “Do I know who Jesus is?”

Who is He to me?

Because Jesus does not have to be God and Lord to me. He can only be Someone I admire. I can be amazed by His life and what He has done.

I can also be afraid of Jesus and think that He came to set some sky-high demands on me, to show me my weakness and sinfulness, to ruin me.

Jesus wants me to know Who He really is: the Holy One of God, the Messiah, the Lord and Saviour, the Son of the Father, God and Man. He makes Himself known through His actions and words.

On my part, a desire to get to know Jesus, and a decision on how much time I will give to the Lord for this meeting is needed. The more time, the better and deeper the knowledge.
