Seventh Friday of Eastertide – Acts 25:13-21; John 21:15-19

Sometimes our lives turn out strangely. Our personal decisions are compounded by the past as well as financial and legal conditions, other choices and various circumstances – and in effect we find ourselves in a place, which we didn’t intent to be. This is why our fundamental choice is so important – Jesus’s call to both Peter and Paul, as it is to us “Follow me”.

And if this choice is preserved – as banal as this sounds – things will work out some how and we will find ourselves suddenly much closer to our ultimate fulfilment than it may seem.

Lord, from You flows the power of my response to Your love, because You loved me without reservation and chose that my life would have a joyous dialogue of love with You and my neighbours. Thank You.
