Tuesday of Week 22 – 1 Cor 2:1-5; Ps 119; Luke 4:16-30

And they said to one another, “What teaching! He gives orders to unclean spirits with authority and power and they come out.” Luke 4

Jesus teaches with power in the synagogue in Capernaum, and also casts out a demon, demonstrating his authority over the forces of evil. He speaks and acts with power, freeing people from spiritual enslavement. His words and actions are proof that the kingdom of God is near and that it has authority over all aspects of our lives.

Jesus wants to free us from everything that enslaves us and lead us into the fullness of life in God’s kingdom. Do we see the greatness and goodness of God in our daily experiences? Do we entrust him with our fears and enslavements, believing in his power to heal and free us? Today’s readings encourage us to live in full trust in God, allowing his power to transform our lives.
