Fifth Monday of Eastertide – Acts 14:5-18; John 14:21-26
To those who love Me, I will reveal Myself,” declares Jesus. What a breathtaking truth! It stirs the soul to awe. Yet, hearts cry out: Why not to everyone? Aren’t You the King of Glory, mighty and renowned? Why withhold Your splendour from the doubters, the sceptics, the persecutors? Show Your power! Prove who You are!
This question echoes through the ages – even today. In our place, many would demand a thunderous display: If You are God, reveal Yourself! Convince the world! Force belief!
But Jesus responds with tender wisdom:
“If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words.”
He is no desperate salesman peddling wares. No, He offers the greatest gift imaginable: the Father Himself!
This gift doesn’t impose – it invites. It awaits an open heart. To the one who loves and obeys, Jesus and the Father draw near, transforming a life into their sacred dwelling place.
Beloved, Jesus extends this gift to you – to everyone! Not by coercion, but by grace. Open your heart. Receive Him today. Let love awaken revelation, and watch heaven make its home within you!
