The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? Jer 17
We often make choices not because of any grand evil lurking in our hearts, but simply out of passivity—a failure to respond that can slowly breed indifference. This indifference creeps in quietly, until we realise that the gap between us and others has widened beyond what we imagined. God sees things differently, though. What we might brush off as a small gesture—a kind word, a moment of genuine interest in someone else—means the world to Him.
Life isn’t about the big milestones; it’s about the choices we make every day that shape our reality. So, the question isn’t really about what’s next; it’s what’s happening right now. What will we do with this moment? Are we going to stroll by, lost in indifference, or can we take a moment to be truly present and attentive? This is where we either nurture our sensitivity or let it slip away. It’s not about tomorrow or someday, it’s about now. Every little choice we make counts—it builds us into people who can truly love, or keeps us sealed away in our own indifference.
