Fifth Thursday of Eastertide – Acts 15:7-21; Ps 95:1-3,10; John 15:9-11

The word of God maps out the direction of live for disciples of Jesus. And shows that His love should be the starting point for, and at the same time the source of their identity. For the level of love to continually grow, a enlivening prayer life is needed. The way to imitate the Son of God come out of trusting to entrustment to constantly drawing on the love of Christ in every moment.

From His disciples, Jesus does not require the attitude of a slave who performs everything according to the letter of the law, but the attitude of a child, who does everything for the love of God: “My sheep listen to My voice, I know them, and they follow Me”. Our abiding in love will be a joy, not only for us, but also for the Father.
