Feast of Saint Stephen, protomartyr – Acts 6:8-10,7:54-59; Matthew 10:17-22

Did you open the door of your heart to little Jesus yesterday? If you stick to your choice, don’t be surprised that from time to time you will encounter surprising adversities. Adopting this helpless child who is God’s Son is life-changing; it creates peace in the heart that the world cannot give. But it also brings contempt from the world.

“Beware of men: they will hand you over to Sanhedrins and scourge you in their synagogues” Jesus tells them. They killed Stephen. After him, many others. Is it any wonder that today they sneer at us and say that we are old-fashioned cranks? You walk illuminated by His radiance. . .
