Tuesday of Week 8 – 1 Peter 1:10-16; Mark 10:28-31
Be holy, for I am holy 1 Peter 1:16
In the quiet ache of our hearts, we sense the truth: God alone must come first. Yet how often this sacred longing stays locked in theory, while daily life pulls us toward lesser loves? Jesus calls us tenderly – Come to me, all you who labour – promising to carry us when we choose to live in Him.
To follow, we must face the illusions we cling to and name the sins that separate us. Holiness begins not in perfection, but in humble honesty about our weakness. Though the world may mock such vulnerability, Christ walks with us. He does not ask us to chase greatness or applause. He asks only for sincerity: to live truthfully, love purely, and trust that His grace will lead us home.
In that surrender, heaven draws near.
