Tuesday of Week 12 – 2 Kings 19:9-11,14-21,31-36; Ps 47; Matthew 7:6,12-14
In a world that often whispers cynicism into our hearts, we are tempted to believe that power always triumphs and hearts never change. Yet the story of King Hezekiah reminds us otherwise. Faced with the overwhelming threat of Assyria, he did not surrender to fear. Instead, he carried the enemy’s letter into the temple and spread it before the Lord, trusting not in his own strength but in the living God.
God heard his prayer and delivered His people.
Whatever burdens or threats you face today, bring them to the Lord. The narrow path of faith may seem difficult, but it leads to true life. Jesus walks with you, strengthening your heart to hope when the world urges despair. Place your trust in Him, and you will discover that no force is greater than the power of God’s faithful love.
