God is patient

Week 17 Tuesday – Jer 14:17-22; Psalm 78: 8-9, 11, 13; Matthew 13:36-43

God is patient with us. The question is: am I willing to be patient too? Am I willing to wait, keep going, and not give up?

Every inner struggle asks something of us. We have to let go of something, give something up, or place something into God’s hands. Part of our selfishness must be surrendered.

And why? So that we can receive what truly matters — not something temporary, but something lasting and eternal.

At first, we begin to notice God’s presence again. Then, slowly, through His grace, we begin to find ourselves again as well: a clearer mind, a deeper peace, stronger self-control, and a steadier path in life.

This is not about losing who we are. It is about being restored in God. We place our lives in His hands so that He may shape us. The more we surrender to Christ, the more we become like Him. His life begins to shape ours, His truth gives us strength, and His holiness begins to shine in us.

So do not be afraid of the sacrifice hidden within the struggle. If it is offered to God, it is never wasted. The Lord is patient, and in His patient love He leads us, step by step, into freedom, healing, and holiness.
