Tuesday of Week 28 – Gal 5:1-6; Ps 118:41,43-45,47-48; Luke 11:37-41
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love. Gal 5
Christ gently reminds us today that God looks beyond the surface; He gazes directly into our hearts. Jesus reproached the Pharisees not for their traditions, but because their external rituals lacked the beating heart of true devotion.
We, too, can sometimes worry about how others perceive us, focusing on outward appearances rather than inward grace. But take courage! The Lord invites us into a far more beautiful reality. Our relationship with Him is not a mere checklist of duties; it is a profound, internal transformation.
Cultivating a Pure Heart:
- Seek Authenticity: Let your prayers flow from a sincere desire for God.
- Act with Purpose: Ensure your daily actions are driven by genuine charity, not just social expectations.
- Embrace Grace: Allow the Holy Spirit to renew you from the inside out.
What a joy it is to know that true faith is powerfully expressed in love! Today, let us ask ourselves: Are my actions rooted in an authentic love for God and neighbour?
Lord, purify my heart. May my faith be made visible today through genuine acts of love. Amen.
