Monday of Week 3 – Heb 9:15,24-28; Mark 3:22-30

Read it once, twice, three times… Until you see what God means.

Why three times…?

Because behind the first one you see the faces of the Pharisees. Their mocking smile, malice, stubbornness. That’s them. But their perverse claims and visions are not the Gospel. They are the bad news.

The second time you will see the goodness of God. His patience, unwillingness to judge, and retaliate. Above all, the desire to save “those who wait for Him”. This is the Gospel. That is the Good News.

And the third time…? Perhaps the good will, the good intentions of God, will meet your good will. With your good intentions. Then the light of the Gospel will become your life. His life in you.
