Wednesday of Week 19 – Ez 9:1-7,10:18-22; Matthew 18:15-20
Being without God means death. The Tau sign, a cross, marked on the forehead of people caring about God’s matters reminds us how dependent we are, how much our everyday life and future depend on being on the right side.
Potentially, being with others can be life-giving or deadly at so many levels. We’ve certainly always known about this, and the last few months has highlighted this. Meeting, gathering, being together – we reach for each other for life or for death.
A specific type of life insurance: to exist among Christians, who treat the demands of faith seriously. Who don’t cheat. Don’t use. Who strive for unity. They support.
Jesus, I sincerely apologise to You for the times when I have been the cause of disagreement and the destruction of unity. Teach me and free my heart to strive for unity.
