Thursday of 3rd Week of Lent – Jer 7:23-28; Ps 94:1-2,6-9; Luke 11:14-23
Today, as I reflect on God’s Word, I realise how often I turn away from Him. It’s a bit of a wake-up call, really. Sometimes, I chase after things that aren’t good for me, choosing comfort or convenience over His guidance. When I refuse to forgive others, I forget the lesson of endless forgiveness that Jesus taught us (you know, “seventy times seven times” – it’s a big deal!).
Even when I feel unappreciated, I remember that humility is key. And let’s be real, rejecting the Church’s teachings? That’s a slippery slope. When I dismiss His words, I forget just how loving and good He truly is.
So, how do I change this? I need to own up to those moments and apologise for tuning out. I’ll pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to help me embrace His Word. Every day is a chance to turn back towards Him, to truly live out His teachings. Let’s make it happen!
