Week Nine Monday – 2 Pet 1:2-7; Mark 12:1-12
“He has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature” (2 Pet 1:3).
God has already placed in our hands everything we need to become holy. His gifts aren’t just extras for our comfort; they’re invitations to grow, to be transformed, to share in His very own Divine Life. This sharing has already begun in us through grace and will reach its fullness in eternity.
That’s why each day matters. God calls us to cooperate with His grace so that His gifts bear real fruit: good works, deepened virtue, and a heart more like Christ’s.
Often, the Lord doesn’t give me exactly what I ask for—but He always gives what is truly best for me. He orders everything so that His will, not mine, is fulfilled. Grace asks me to let go, to be docile and trusting, so that a living bridge can stretch between my soul and Heaven.
Like the Psalmist, I want to say from the heart: “My God, in you I trust.” Today I place in His hands myself, my loved ones, those I’ve promised to pray for, and all who, like the prodigal son, have misused God’s gifts and need to find their way home.
