Saturday of Week Eight – Jude 1:17,20-25; Mark 11:27-33
Not every question deserves an answer.
While it is true that no question is foolish in itself, some are asked not to discover truth but to trap, expose, or wound. These are the questions that seek to pry where they have no right, to stir up secrets, or to feed pride rather than understanding.
Yet the same words, spoken with a different heart, can become a doorway to grace. A question asked with humility can invite another person to share their story, to be seen, and to be loved. The difference lies not in the question itself, but in the spirit behind it.
A sign of wisdom is learning when to speak and when to stay silent.
May we grow in this holy discernment – so that our words build up rather than tear down, and our questions become instruments of truth and mercy.
God, send Your angel to guard my thoughts and words from all falsehood, deceit, and injustice. Let my tongue be a communicator of truth, and my questions a pathway to Your light. Amen.
