The Teacher

06:51 AM (Last updated: 06:57 AM) 2 minutes read 228 views

Third Thursday of Eastertide – Acts 8:26-40; Ps 65:8-9,16-17,20; John 6:44-51

He chose an ungrateful role for himself. For rarely does anyone like teachers. Especially demanding ones. Even worse with those who use traditional methods. Demanding from the student not so much understanding, as the assimilation of the material. In this he is exceptionally good. The longer he teaches, the less one can understand. Although he gave reason precisely so that one might understand. And such teaching is supposed to be appealing?!

You will not see. You will not touch. You will not understand. Nevertheless, hear and learn. The first poses no problem. Even though he never speaks in his own voice. One can get used to that. But how, for example, does one learn the Bread?

If anyone eats…

If one does not eat, to the end he will remain a poor student. Casting all the blame upon the Teacher.
